Plans and retention
Nothing in Proofroom is deleted to enforce a commercial limit. Every evidence event you send is retained and included in chain verification on every plan, including Free. Paid plans unlock reading detail, privacy and watermark removal. They do not restore data that was never removed.
What is always free over the entire history
On every plan, over the full history of a proof room:
- Chain verification status and the full chained event count
- The coverage score, computed over all events
- Total receipt count, and counts by event type, authority status and evidence level
- First and last event timestamps
- External anchoring status and links
- The "declared but never recorded" list
- Configuration history
A buyer inspecting a free room can satisfy themselves that the record is complete and intact, whatever the host's plan.
The receipt list itself remains browsable for the full history: dates, receipt ids, event types and authority statuses stay visible. Integrity is never gated.
The six-month detail window on Free
On Free, the detail view of individual receipts older than six months is gated (titles where published, summaries, links, full field detail). Structural counts and the receipt index stay visible as above.
Where older receipts would appear, the room states plainly that those receipts are retained in full and included in chain verification, and that detailed views for that period are available on a paid plan. That wording does not imply the evidence is gone, does not exist, or was removed.
Evidence Pack on Free
Free includes a full Evidence Pack export, watermarked (complete and usable — print and PDF allowed). The watermark marks Free tier; Pro removes it. The pack covers the full receipt set at generation and states the verified chain event count on the cover. It never pretends older events were deleted.
Upgrading and downgrading
Upgrading to a paid plan immediately reveals full receipt detail across the entire history, because nothing was ever deleted.
Downgrading re-applies the six-month detail window without data loss. Events and receipts remain retained and included in chain verification; only the detail view of older receipts is gated again.
Abuse protection
Volume is protected by per-key event rate limits and Ops alerts when an organisation exceeds a configurable daily event volume. Rate limits never hide or truncate evidence.
